Our Youth

On 17 January 2002 a nervous group of people opened the doors of Cheswick Green Youth Group for the very first time. We had no idea that, six years later, the youth groupwould be going from strength to strength.  Most of the young people who came that night have now grown up, and we see new faces coming through the door.  Some of our young people are now volunteers, manning the doors and helping to set up.

The venture came as a direct result of the "Called to a new Kingdom" initiative and the meetings which were held within the Parish in answer to it.  A them, which was repeated several times following these meetings, was the need to offer something to the young people of the area.  From this initial idea a group began to meet and ask how this could be put into practice.  A need for a youth group on Cheswick Green became apparent and the rest, as they say is history!!.

With six years under our best we are looking for the future, and hope that we can offer the group to the young people of Cheswick Green and the surround area for many years to come.  We have young people coming from many parts of Solihull.

The youth group currently attracts 25 -30 members per week, meeting on a Friday night at 7.30 pm until 9.30 pm.
