| Curate - St James the Great Kate is the Assistant Curate in the Salter Street and Shirley Team. Northampton born and bred, she still enjoys following the fortunes of the Northampton Saints rugby team. Before donning the dog collar, Kate taught maths at a secondary school in Halesowen. She trained for ordination at Westcott House, Cambridge, was made deacon in 2007 and ordained priest in 2008. Kate enjoys drinking good wines, playing her clarinet, and curling up to read the Sunday paper with a pot of coffee and a packet of chocolate biscuits. She has also been known to indulge in the occasional gin and tonic. Kate is married to Matthew and they have a very fluffy cat, Lightfoot. |  |
